  • MGH nurse turns inventor
    When faced with a dilemma that can sometimes hinder patient care in the MGH Interventional Radiology suite, Joanie O'Donnell, RN, was determined to find a solution. Because of her creativity and resolve, O'Donnell now has the unofficial title of inventor. She has invented the first "IV Illuminator."
  • Emergency medicine physicians lead conference in Middle East
    Under the auspices of the Harvard Medical International Center for Emergency Medicine, emergency physicians from the MGH, BWH and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center recently traveled to Israel and Jordan to help develop emergency medical care in the Middle East and bring together medical leaders from the war-torn region.
  • Congressman visits MGH Chelsea
    Rep. Michael E. Capuano (D), who succeeded Rep. Joseph Kennedy in the 8th US Congressional district, visited the MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center as a part of his citywide tour of Chelsea June 4.
  • Operations support staff recognized
    Operations support staff enjoyed a special appreciation meal for the day, evening and night shifts June 15 beneath the Bulfinch Tent. The events were meant to recognize the more than 2,000 employees who work in operations support.
