MGH Brain Tumor Center chooses first visiting professor

Mitchel S. Berger, MD, professor and chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, has been chosen as the first MGH Brain Tumor Center Visiting Professor.

Berger will conduct a Clinical Research Conference June 30 at 5 pm. Berger also will give Neurosurgery Grand Rounds in the Ether Dome and conduct the Brain Tumor Center Clinical Conference July 1.

The Brain Tumor Center Visiting Professor program was established in 1999 with support of Gary Kornfeld and Richard Heitmeyer, both former patients of the MGH. The goal of the program is to provide the exchange of ideas among members of the neuro-oncology field.
