Staff, colleagues, family members and friends gathered June 17 to recognize four members of MGH Patient Care Services with the Stephanie Macaluso, RN, Expertise in Clinical Practice Awards.

Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, MS, senior vice president for Patient Care Services and chief nurse, presented the award to Rochelle Butler, LPN, of Internal Medicine Associates; Alice Chaput, RNC, ANP, of MGH Chelsea HealthCare Center; Diane Plante, MS, PT, of Physical Therapy; and Louise Sethmann, RN, of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.

Given twice a year, the award was renamed last year to honor its first recipient, Stephanie Macaluso, RN, a clinical nurse specialist who died in July 1998. The award recognizes direct care providers in Patient Care Services whose practice is based on caring, innovation, knowledge, the spirit of inquiry, leadership and teamwork.
