AMMP begins scholarship process The Association of Multicultural Members of Partners (AMMP) recently announced the start of its annual educational scholarship application process. AMMP designed this program, which has helped multicultural employees at the MGH, Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital and Partners develop their professional skills and attain their educational goals. The program has helped many MGH employees, like Wanda Velazquez pursue
their dreams of furthering their education while maintaining their careers.
Program manager in the Partners Community Benefits Office, Velazquez received
her first scholarship in 1999 and used it to help pay for educational
costs as she earned an associate's degree from Bunker Hill Community College.
Since then, Velazquez has received two additional AMMP scholarships, which
were instrumental for her in earning her bachelor's degree in Marketing
from the University of Massachusetts, Boston. The AMMP scholarship committee now is accepting applications for the fall 2003 and spring 2004 academic year. For more information about the AMMP scholarship program, send email to phsammp@partners.org. |
