  • Direct deposit makes payday more convenient
    More than 70 percent of MGHers don't have to wait in line to cash their paychecks. That's because they use direct deposit, which automatically sends paychecks directly into employees' bank accounts.
  • Mystery doctor found: MGHer helped game show friend win prize money
    The "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" mystery has been solved. In a recent episode of the popular ABC-TV game show, a contestant called a lifeline for help answering the $32,000 question. The contestant identified his lifeline only as "Alan, who is a doctor at Mass General in Boston." The mystery doctor turned out to be Alan J. Greenfield, MD, an attending physician for Vascular Radiology.
  • Partners town meeting
    Samuel O. Thier, MD, president and CEO of Partners, will discuss a variety of topics related to Partners at a town meeting June 6, 10 to 11 am in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. James J. Mongan, MD, president of the MGH, also will be on hand to answer questions.
