  • Leaders and heroes – the MGH celebrates nursing
    Jeanette Ives Erickson, RN, MS, senior vice president for Patient Care Services and chief nurse, presented "Nurses: Leaders or Victims? Taking Control of Our Profession," as part of the MGH's celebration of National Nursing Week, May 8 through 12.
  • A special Mother's Day gift
    MGH patient Hatice Akdeniz is celebrating two very special gifts this Mother's Day her long-term remission from leukemia and the birth of her daughter, Selin.
  • Cliff Stewart: Master builder, mentor and friend
    Cliff Douglas Stewart III may not have been an MGH employee, but many considered him a true MGHer. After Stewart's death last year at age 47, former colleagues, friends and family members came together to establish a scholarship in his memory that would provide MGH or Walsh Brother employees to take college or construction courses.
  • Results from the MGH Pain Pulse
    On March 22, MGH staff simultaneously measured the pain level of all inpatients and some outpatients during the "Pain Pulse" — an initiative of the MGH Cares About Pain Relief Project.
