Jump aboard for Children and HealthCare week

The MassGeneral Hospital for Children will celebrate National Children and HealthCare Week with a series of events focused on child and adolescent health April 26 to 30. The following events are scheduled to take place:

• Hurt Alert
  Pediatric specialists from MassGeneral Hospital for Children will provide an educational program April 26 for professionals and families regarding how to treat pediatric pain.
• Pediatric Grand Rounds
  Harvey Zarren, MD, of North Shore Medical Center, will present
  "The Power of Healing that We All Have and Can Use" April 27,
  from noon to 1 pm in the Wellman Conference Room.
• Family-Centered Care Awards
  Five individuals who embody the guiding principles of MassGeneral Hospital for Children will be recognized at an award ceremony April 28 at 1 pm in the Ellison 17 Playroom.
• Children's Health Fair
  In conjunction with Take Our Children to Work Day, the children's health fair "Jump Aboard for Good Health" will be held April 30, from 9 am to 3 pm under the Bulfinch Tent. Approximately 50 interactive stations related to health, the science of the body and coming to the hospital will be set up. Artwork submitted by pediatric patients, children of employees and students from local schools will be displayed throughout the tent. For more information, call (617) 724-5727.
