Emergency department opens new radiology suite The MGH Emergency Radiology Department held a ribbon-cutting ceremony Feb. 13 to celebrate the grand opening of a new Emergency Radiology suite. MGHers inaugurate new Emergency Radiology Department suite. The new suite will provide state-of-the-art imaging services day and night. It is equipped with two multislice CT scanners, three diagnostic rooms, an ultrasound and an MRI one of the first emergency room MRI systems to be installed in the country. The suite will be staffed by MGH radiologists consisting of six attending physicians, two fellows with an attending physician available on-call, as well as more than 100 Emergency Radiology technical staff. The suite will help provide patients with immediate scans and minimal wait times as well as limiting patient travel to other departments. |
