Teen
authors make appearance for MGH pediatric patients Sibling literary duo Tim and Tyler Karu visited the MGH Jan. 9 to perform a special reading from their children's book "Henry and the White Wolf" for young patients of the MassGeneral Hospital for Children.
Tim Karu, a teenager from Portland, Maine, wrote the story to help children who are hospitalized to stay "strong and brave" through what can sometimes be a frightening experience. Tim recruited his sister Tyler to draw the illustrations. The book recently was published by Workman Publishing. The Karus, who are on a national book tour, donated 50 copies of the book to the MassGeneral Hospital for Children. |
