MGPO special meeting
All MGPO staff are invited to attend an open discussion about Partners
governance Jan. 21, 5 to 6:30 pm, in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. James Richter,
MD, MGPO medical director, will moderate a panel of physicians. Discussion
questions may be submitted in advance by calling 4-8098 or sending e-mail

PeopleSoft training
PeopleSoft online requisition classes are being offered through March 30, Tuesdays, 8:30
am to noon, in Founders 634. All participants should have a working knowledge of Windows

Weight management
MGH Nutrition Services once again will offer a 10-week weight management class
"Winning at the Losing Game," taking place Mondays, beginning Jan. 25, from 5:30
to 7:30 pm. The class will cover such topics as nutrition, behavior modification,
lifestyle changes and exercise. The class costs $185 for employees and $195 for the

Coordinating clinical research
The Clinical Research Program will sponsor "Clinical Research Coordinator Workshop Conducting Clinical Research Studies," a class for
entry-level coordinators, Feb. 8, 8 am to 5 pm, in the Burr 5 and 6 conference rooms,

Spaulding hosts marathon clinic
Five clinicians from Spaulding will offer a clinic to help runners train for this year's
Boston Marathon. "How to Run your Personal Best" will be held Jan. 23, 9:30 to
10:30 am, at the Spaulding Neighborhood Rehabilitation Center at Copley Square, 410 Stuart
St., Boston. The clinic is open to the public, but space is limited. A $5 donation to
support Spaulding's Run for Rehab Marathon is requested. To register, call 573-2921 by
Jan. 20.
Ethics and spirituality in hospitals
The MGH Ethics Task Force invites employees to attend its next presentation "Ethics
and Spirituality in the Hospital Setting" Jan. 27, 4:30 to 6 pm, in the Ether Dome.
