Directions

From West of Boston:

Take the Massachusetts Turnpike to the Cambridge/Allston exit and bear right after the tollbooth. Turn right at the first set of lights onto Storrow Drive. After approximately 5 miles, take the Government Center exit. Follow signs to Downtown/Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary. At the first set of lights, take a left onto North Grove Street.

From North of Boston:

Take Route 93 or Route 1 to the Storrow Drive exit and proceed along the Charles River for 100 yards, getting into the left lane. Take the Government Center exit and follow signs to Downtown/Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary. At the first set of lights, take a left onto North Grove Street.

From South of Boston:

Take Route I-93/3 North (Southeast Expressway) to Storrow Drive exit and proceed along the Charles River for 100 yards, getting into the left lane. Take the Government Center exit and follow signs to Downtown/Government Center, proceeding up Cambridge Street. Do not turn left into the rotary. At the first set of lights, take a left onto North Grove Street.

Parking

Parking is available to patients and visitors in two garages with entrances on Fruit Street and in an open lot on North Anderson Street next to the Parkman Street garage. A parking fee is charged by the hour. Patients and visitors who plan to stay more than three hours Monday through Friday should have their parking ticket validated by a Mass General ambassador for a maximum rate of $6.00 (validation is not required on weekends). Valet Parking is available at the WACC Lobby Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The fee is $3.00 plus the regular parking rates. A special flat rate of $3.00 is available if you are picking up a discharged inpatient. For additional information, please contact the Parking Office at (617) 726-8886.

Public Transportation

By Subway: Take the Red Line to the Charles Street/MGH station. Follow Cambridge Street one block and turn left onto North Grove Street.
By Commuter Rail and Amtrak from North Station: A free shuttle runs between Mass General and North Station every 15 minutes, Monday - Friday. Or you may take a taxi to Mass General or the Green line to Park Street Station and change to an Alewife-bound Red Line train. Get off at the Charles/MGH station and follow Cambridge Street one block. Turn left onto North Grove Street.
From South Station: Take a taxi to Mass General or take an Alewife-bound Red Line train. Get off at the Charles/MGH station and follow Cambridge Street one block. Turn left onto North Grove Street.
