Special Considerations

Before use, the vial should be slowly warmed to room temperature and gently turned upside down, in order to obtain a uniform suspension. ** DO NOT SHAKE **

Correction of acidosis, hypotension, anemia, hypoglycemia and hypothermia is recommended before administration of Curosurf Ò

Marked improvements in oxygenation may occur within minutes of administration, therefore changes in lung compliance should be CLOSELY monitored and ventilator support adjusted as indicated.

Continuous heart rate and transcutaneous O 2 saturation should be monitored during administration; frequent ABG sampling is necessary to prevent postdosing hyperoxia and hypocarbia

Vials are SINGLE USE and should be discarded after initial entry

UNOPENED vials that have been warmed to room temperature CAN be returned to refrigerated storage within 24 hours. Vials can ONLY be warmed to room temperature and returned to refrigerator ONCE.
