Special Considerations

Before use, the vial should be slowly warmed to room temperature and gently turned upside down, in order to obtain a uniform suspension. ** DO NOT SHAKE ** Correction of acidosis, hypotension, anemia, hypoglycemia and hypothermia is recommended before administration of Curosurf Ò Marked improvements in oxygenation may occur within minutes of administration, therefore changes in lung compliance should be CLOSELY monitored and ventilator support adjusted as indicated. Continuous heart rate and transcutaneous O 2 saturation should be monitored during administration; frequent ABG sampling is necessary to prevent postdosing hyperoxia and hypocarbia
