| Usual Dosage Range and Route | Load: 250,000 IU over 30 minutes Maintenance: 100,000 IU / hour Coronary Thrombosis Only Administer total dose over 60 minutes |

| Special Considerations: | - Check neuro vital signs every 2 hours - Avoid intramuscular injections and vascular punctures at noncompressible sites before, during and after therapy - Contraindicated in patients with recent trauma, stroke, surgery, active gi bleed within 2 months, coagulopathy or known bleeding diathesis. - Contraindicated in patients who have had streptokinase therapy or streptococcus infection in the past 10 - 180 days or have exhibited known allergy to the drug - saline solutions are preferred |
