Trade Name: Neupogen
Action: Promotes Neutrophil Production
Indications: Neutropenia Secondary to Immunosuppressive Drug Therapy
Administration Guidelines:
Usual Dosage Range and Route: 300 or 480 mcg subcutaneous or intravenous as titrated to patient response
Standard Concentration: (FOR IV ADMINISTRATION) 15 mcg / ml or greater

(i.e. 300 mcg / 20 ml over 30 - 60 minutes)

Special Considerations: - Should not be used within 24 hours of chemotherapy

- Dose based on individual patient’s parameters

- Subcutaneous administration is the preferred route

Precautions and Side Effects: - Malaise

- Arthralgia
