Re-certification Process

Re-certification requirements can be met by a variety of methods:

• Re-taking the exam
• Submitting proof of the following or a combination of these methods:
  • Submitting a certain number of contact hours related to the specialty
  • Publishing an article related to the specialty
  • Teaching a course on the specialty
  • Completing an academic course on the specialty
• Submitting validation by 2 colleagues of continued clinical practice in the specialty area
