Each employee in Patient Care Services (PCS) receives a formal, written evaluation of his/her performance, which is completed on an annual basis, and according to the employee’s anniversary date.

An integral part of this important process is that each employee must complete specific annual required training topics that are appropriate for his/her role and designed to ensure a safe environment for patients, families and each other. In addition, each employee is assessed on defined job competencies that pertain to his/her position. Required training and annual competencies are mandated by accrediting agencies and identified as required by the hospital because of their importance in providing safe and quality patient-family care.
