61 year-old gentleman with history of Barrett’s esophagus with high-grade dysplasia. Endoscopic mucosal resection for a focal nodule found in the distal esophagus.

Pancreas Pathology, Case 5

55 year old gentleman presented with obstructive jaundice.  Imaging study showed an ill-defined mass in the head of pancreas.

Pancreas Pathology, Case 6

63 year old lady with several year history of ulcerative colitis.  During tapering of prednisone, she developed symptoms associated with pancreatitis.  Imaging study showed a lesion in the tail of pancreas suggestive of pancreatic cancer.  Distal pancreatectomy was performed.

Pancreas Pathology, Case 7

54 year old gentleman with a history of chronic pancreatitis and prior ETOH use presented with pancreatic mass associated with duodenal obstruction. The Whipple specimen shows irregular duodenal mucosa surrounding the Ampulla of Vater (gross 1), cystic changes in the duodenal wall (gross 2), and a small nodule in the distal aspect of the duodenum (gross 4, microscopic image 7c).

Pancreas Pathology, Case 8

56 year old gentleman developed severe epigastric pain and was diagnosed to have pancreatitis.  Imaging study showed a 1.8 cm mass at junction of the neck and body of pancreas.
