Amelia received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from Haverford College and her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, PA. Amelia completed her residency in Internal Medicine - Primary Care at St. Vincent's Hospital in New York NY before joining the MGH Palliative Care service as a Fellow in 2007.

Amelia became a full-time Attending with the MGH Palliative Care Service in 2008. Her interests include end-of-life care for heart failure patients and narrative medicine.
