STATEMENT OF THE McGOVERN FAMILY
BOSTON, June 26, 2003 - The family of Dr. Brian McGovern has
asked that the following statement be released:
The family of Brian McGovern, including Anne, Caitriona, Deirdre,
his brother Patrick, and his mother Josephine McGovern, is still
deeply mourning this most tragic and heartbreaking loss. We wish
to thank our families, friends and colleagues for all their kindness,
love and support. We express our gratitude to the Boston police
for conducting a thorough investigation, and to all those at Massachusetts
General Hospital who have been so supportive of our family. Not
least, we enormously appreciate the countless, most moving messages
of condolence and tribute from Brian's patients, friends and colleagues.
