Adam S. Feldman, MD, of the MGH Cancer Center and the MGH Department of Urology, has received one of the Prostate Cancer Foundation’s 2008 Young Investigator Awards. Designed to aid innovative researchers in pursuing prostate cancer research, the awards provide recipients $75,000 annually for three years and include a separate match from the winner’s institution. Feldman is exploring a noninvasive method for identifying prostate cancer biomarkers in urine, an effort aimed at improving the detection and prognosis of the disease. His co-mentors are Matthew Smith, MD, PhD, of the MGH Cancer Center, and Bruce Zetter, PhD, of Harvard Medical School.
