The MGH Leadership Academy hosted its fall open house Oct. 29, offering managers and supervisors an opportunity to learn about the academy’s latest course offerings, meet with instructors and network with other managers. Launched in February 2005 with nine courses, the academy has grown to 25 classes and 29 instructors in less than four years. Sponsored by MGH Training and Workforce Development, the Leadership Academy builds its course curriculum around five pillars that the MGH has defined as part of every manager’s priorities: people management, process management, financial management, communication management and leadership. Its mission aims to define the standards of competency for MGH managers and leaders and provide continuing education opportunities for managers to meet those competencies.
