Once again, the MGH has been ranked among the top 15 places to work in academia by The Scientist, a magazine for life science professionals. For the past six years, The Scientist has conducted the Best Places to Work in Academia reader survey, and this year's top institutions "give researchers more than a place to do great science. They offer the opportunity to nurture, and be nurtured in return."
More than 2,300 readers responded to the web-based survey to develop the list of the 2008 top 40 U.S. institutions and top 10 international institutions. The MGH is the only Massachusetts institution ranked among the top 15 this year. In 2007, the MGH ranked first among U.S. institutions.
