Tee time at the MGHfC

nettogregoryYoung golf enthusiasts at the MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) learned the importance of following their dreams during a special visit Aug. 28 in the Ellison 17 playroom from two inspirational athletes, Anthony Netto (left) and DJ Gregory (right). Netto, a native of South Africa, has golfed from a wheelchair since sustaining serious injuries in a 1994 car accident. He shared his story with the children, who also were given the opportunity to put their golf skills to the test during a putting demonstration. Gregory then described his own experiences as a golfer living with cerebral palsy, a disease that makes it difficult for him to walk and requires the use of a cane. Despite these challenges, he has embarked on a quest to walk every hole on the PGA Tour, an experience that inspired his words to the young patients: "If you have a dream, donÕt ever give up on it."
