Survivors of the MGH's Be Fit program recently indulged in a bit of healthy competition, with 10 former Be Fit teams participating in a special blood drive challenge at the MGH Blood Donor Center. The contest, which took place Feb. 1 through 22, was held in recognition of both American Heart Month and the third anniversary of Be Fit, an initiative aimed at educating employees about leading healthy lives through nutritious eating and regular exercise. The Blood Donor Center received 279 donations — the most of any challenge within the past year. A catered lunch was awarded to the Department of Speech, Language and Swallowing Disorders team, which had the highest percentage of participation among its members.
