Seminar on supporting employee veterans
The MGH, Partners HealthCare, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, AIM Leadership and Citizens Bank will co-sponsor a professional development seminar, "What You Can Do for Your Country and Your Company" April 18, from 8 am to noon in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The seminar is presented by Resource Partnership and is designed for human resources professionals and hiring managers to learn how to support employees who have been deployed overseas. Smoking cessation programs
The MGH Tobacco Treatment Service will offer seven-week smoking cessation programs Wednesdays, beginning April 23 at 5:30 pm and Tuesdays, beginning May 6 at noon. Topics will include preparing to quit, coping with stress without cigarettes, preventing weight gain and maintaining a smoke-free life. Low-cost nicotine patches and/or gum will be available with written approval from a primary care physician. Registration is required with a registration fee, which is on a sliding scale. Partners Information Systems Training is offering the following one-hour InfoBytes Microsoft Office 2003 training courses: "Word 2003: Mail Merge," April 23, from 1 to 2:30 pm, and "Outlook 2003: Tips and Tricks to Improve Efficiency" April 23, from 3 to 4:30 pm.
