Senior HealthWISE exercise class
MGH Senior HealthWISE will host a "Spring into Fitness" exercise class April 17, from 11 am to noon at the Clubs at Charles River Park. Lunch will be served from noon to 1 pm. Registration is required. For more information or to register, call (617) 724-6756.

Seminar on supporting employee veterans
The MGH, Partners HealthCare, Spaulding Rehabilitation Network, AIM Leadership and Citizens Bank will co-sponsor a professional development seminar, "What You Can Do for Your Country and Your Company" April 18, from 8 am to noon in the O'Keeffe Auditorium. The seminar is presented by Resource Partnership and is designed for human resources professionals and hiring managers to learn how to support employees who have been deployed overseas. MGH College Fair
MGH Training and Workforce Development will host the 2008 MGH College Fair April 16, from noon to 4 pm at 165 Cambridge St., Suite 200. Representatives from area colleges will be available to help employees explore educational opportunities in the Boston area. Smoking cessation programs
The MGH Tobacco Treatment Service will offer seven-week smoking cessation programs Wednesdays, beginning April 23 at 5:30 pm and Tuesdays, beginning May 6 at noon. Topics will include preparing to quit, coping with stress without cigarettes, preventing weight gain and maintaining a smoke-free life. Low-cost nicotine patches and/or gum will be available with written approval from a primary care physician. Registration is required with a registration fee, which is on a sliding scale. National Healthcare Decision Day information table
In recognition of National Healthcare Decision Day, the MGH Ethics in Clinical Practice Committee will host an information table April 16, from 8 am to 3 pm in the Main Corridor. InfoBytes computer courses
Partners Information Systems Training is offering the following one-hour InfoBytes Microsoft Office 2003 training courses: "Word 2003: Mail Merge," April 23, from 1 to 2:30 pm, and "Outlook 2003: Tips and Tricks to Improve Efficiency" April 23, from 3 to 4:30 pm. Both classes will be held at 165 Cambridge St., Suite 200. An optional half-hour of training will be available at the end of each class for related exercises and one-on-one consultation. The MGH Wellman Center for Photomedicine will host the following lectures: "Optical Imaging of Drosophilia Melanogaster Cardiovascular Physiology" April 15, from 2:30 to 3:30 pm in the Thier Conference Room with guest speaker Michael A. Choma, MD, PhD, visiting clinical fellow at the Wellman Center; and "Photon Mayhem: Polarized Light for Photo-Diagnostics?" April 16, from 3:30 to 4:30 pm in Burr Conference Rooms 5 and 6 with guest speaker Alex Vitkin, PhD, of the Department of Biophysics at the University of Toronto.
