Compassionate, dedicated, determined: these are just a few of the words to describe MGH staff members Gregory Bouchard and Nikolas Anthony. Last month, these qualities earned both well-deserved recognition, with each being honored as employees of the year in their respective departments. Bouchard, a medical assistant in the Stephen E. and Catherine Pappas Center for Neuro-Oncology, received the MGH Cancer Center's Employee of the Year Award, which recognizes employees who exemplify an outstanding commitment to their work, serve as a role model for their peers, provide exceptional patient care and are always willing to go the extra mile. Runners-up were Marilyn Brier of the Claire and John Bertucci Center for Genitourinary Cancer, Jeffrey LeClair of the HOPES Program, Joanne Ochs of the Center for Cancer Risk Analysis and Catherine Romero of the Gillette Center for Breast Cancer. Anthony, a radiation therapist, was named MGH Radiation Oncology's Employee of the Year for his warm manner, confident approach to patient care and ability to establish meaningful bonds with patients. Runners-up for the award were Brian Napolitano, dosimetrist; Daniel Griffin, senior systems analyst; and Jesuina Depina, billing manager assistant.
