2010-2012 NICHD, R01HD012437 (Dr. Allan Walker, PI)-29 Supplement 1 (Cahill, PI) Title: Investigation of the role of TAK1 in the anti-inflammatory role of TGFb in the developing enterocyte.
Aims: TAK1 is a serine threonine kinase activated both by IL-1b and TGFb??. It ?is ?upstream
of AP-1 and NFkB activation. We are investigating if TAK-1 is activated in the
immature enterocyte by TGFb and/or IL-1b, together with its’ role in the neonatal intestine.

Aims: The goals were to characterize the optimal anti-alpha synclein analog posiphen as a SNCA 5’UTR translation blocker for Parkinson’s disease therapeutics.
