Zhuoteng Yu, PhD

Zhuoteng Yu obtained her PhD in November 2007 on gastrointestinal microbiology in Nanjing Agricultural University. Dr. Yu’s research has been focused on the gut nutrition and health, gastrointestinal microorganisms and function, including the effect of probiotics, prebiotics and synbiotics on gastrointestinal microflora. Dr. Yu is now studying the metabolic relationship among the gastrointestinal microorganisms, digestive physiology, gut colonization, and the relationship between gut function and microbial ecology in models of the human gut and in clinical studies. She is a Fellow in Dr. Newburg's lab.
