Research Fellow

Bo Liu, PhD

Bo Liu was awarded a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Cancer Institute of the Peking Union Medical College and Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China. Dr. Liu studied the antitumor immunity and antiangiogenesis efficacy of a fusion protein vaccine, in which he discovered that STAT3 inhibition augments the efficacy of a cancer vaccine. He is now performing instrumental analysis of biologically active glycans by capillary electrophoresis and by high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry. Dr. Liu also studies the effect of glycans on immune function of the intestinal mucosa. He is a Fellow in Dr. Newburg's lab.
