Ying-Ying He received an MD in Immunology in July, 2004 from the College of Medical Science, China Three Gorges University, Yichang, Hubei, China, and a PhD in July, 2007 in biochemistry and molecular biology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China. She is now studying the role of exogenous naturally occurring glycans on inflammatory processes in models of the intestinal mucosa, and mechanisms whereby human milk glycans inhibit enteropathogens. She is a Fellow in Dr. Newburg's lab.
