ACR-4: Outpatient surgical subspecialties

Ambulatory Care Elective Information

Course Coordinator:  Dr. Shannon Scott-Vernaglia—However, individual clinics are set up by the resident

 Goals and Objectives of Rotation:

The purpose is to expose residents to particular aspects of sub-specialty pediatrics and to provide extra continuity clinic sessions, when possible.  The third year block is designed to expose you to major subspecialties common to primary care pediatrics: Dermatology, Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, and Allergy.

 Weekly clinics and conferences:

Since this rotation is now an elective, the faculty need to be contacted directly prior to starting the elective to confirm availability for clinic sessions.  They are not expecting you unless you call ahead
