MGH Internal Medicine Interview Day Synopsis
All DOM Internal Medicine Intern candidates are welcome to join our residents for a pre-interview day dinner at one of our local Boston restaurants. On the Interview day candidates arrive early morning for a welcome session with our program leadership and chief residents. Then it is on to group and one-on-one interviews as well as a tour of MGH as well as a chance to briefly visit our Bigelow Service. After interviews and tours, candidates learn about our Residency Program details and then have lunch with our residents, faculty and leadership. In the afternoon candidates have an opportunity to select a breakout session of choice, usually discussing Global Health, Research or Clinician Educator opportunities at MGH. Our resident panel has been a popular feature of interview days over the last several years where just candidates and residents are free to converse and answer any question that’s been on their mind…without faculty! Because details of this year’s day are still being planned, times are being determined, however, in year’s past our interview day has started at 7:30 am and finished up about 3:00 pm.
