The Minority Faculty Development Award Program (MFDAP) was established in 2004 by the Multicultural Affairs Office, the Executive Committee on Research, the Mass General Physicians Organization and the MGH President’s Office. The MFDAP is designed for MGH appointed faculty and fellows to aid them in their advancement to senior positions in academic medicine and leadership at MGH. These awards include both a grant and loan forgiveness component, and are separated into two categories depending on the academic career track of the applicant.
- The Physician-Scientist Development Award
(PSDA)– provides transitional grant funding which will aid the researcher (fellow or junior faculty) in becoming an independent investigator at MGH. See the
2010 PSDA Call
for Applications. Deadline: 4 p.m., March 18, 2010
- The Clinician-Teacher Development
Award (CTDA)– provides funding support for a clinical, educational or community project to a faculty member, fellow, or graduating resident pursuing an academic career as a clinician, teacher, or community leader at MGH. We are pleased to announce that the CTDA eligibility requirements have been expanded this year to include mid-career faculty, as well. See the 2010
