Emeli Valverde, MM

Emeli Valverde was born in Managua, Nicaragua, and moved to Boston at the age of 7.  She has an undergraduate degree in Business Management from the University of Hartford. In addition, she earned a Masters of Management in 2007
from Cambridge College.

Emeli comes to MGH from Boston Medical Center, where she was the manager
for the Regulatory Compliance Department, which monitors an reviews regulatory changes and quality improvement. Prior to this role, she worked for two years for the Department of Molecular Medicine in clinical research projects sponsored by the National Institutes of Health.

She also serves on the board of the National Society of Hispanic MBAs – Boston
Chapter as the VP of Membership.  Emeli volunteers for several nonprofit
organizations, including: Boston Latin School Association, Hispanic Heritage
Foundation, and Talented and Gifted Hispanic Program at UMASS-Boston.  In
addition, she is a mentor for two high school students at Boston Latin School.
