Some people experience full recovery of their mental health, some people have conditions that are chronic but have periods of varying wellness, and other individuals may find that some residual symptoms persist. For most people, a vulnerability remains for the condition to recur: the most common triggers of recurrence or relapse are other types of illness, periods of high stress, and major life transitions. There are many ways to take an active role in treatment and prevention. |
