  • Disparities Solutions Center at MGH The first center of its kind in the United States, the Disparities Solutions Center is dedicated to the development and implementation of strategies that advance policy and practice to eliminate racial and ethnic disparities in health care.

    Massachusetts Resources

  • Office of Multicultural Health, Massachusetts Department of Public Health Statistics, educational materials, information on refugee and immigrant health.
  • Massachusetts Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program is comprised of six regional centers and a statewide office dedicated to enhancing access to quality health care, particularly primary and preventive care. AHECís goal is to improve the supply and distribution of healthcare professionals with an emphasis on providing primary health care services for the underserved populations.
  • Office for Diversity and Community Partnership, HMS Created to promote increased recruitment, retention and advancement of underrepresented minority faculty at HMS.

  • Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities Sponsored by the National Cancer Institute. Information for patients, community networks, and researchers.
  • Eliminating Racial and Ethnic Disparities From the American Hospital Association.
  • Health Disparities Collaborative Provides learning tools and describes collaborative efforts by states to eliminate health disparities.

  • Minority Health Project To Eliminate Health Disparities From the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill's Program for Ethnicity, Culture, and Health Outcomes (ECHO). Includes links to reports and national events.

  • Office of Minority Health Resource Center (OMHRC) Established by the DHHS, the OMHRC serves as a national resource and referral service on minority health issues. Its mission is "to improve the health of racial and ethnic populations through the development of health policies and programs."

  • Health Information for Minority Women Minority women use fewer health services and continue to suffer more from premature death, disease, and disabilities. This page is from the National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC), a service of the Office on Women's Health in the Department of Health and Human Services.
