• AltMedex The MGH subsription to these databases within the Micromedex family provides access to information for the healthcare professional. AltMedex Evaluations are in-depth,referenced monographs in the familiar Micromedex format. AltMedex Points provides access to quick facts. AltMedex Consults address a disease related topic. AltMedReax includes interactions: herb/supplement--drug, herb/supplement--nutrients,herb/supplement--lab tests, herb/supplement--alcohol. Herbal Medicines offers 141 monographs. Additional information in Poisondex and ReproTox focuses on toxicology and teratology. There are many ways to search: by herb/supplement name in the Integrated Index, by checking alternative medicine in the database listing or by looking under category (for example drug interactions).

• CAM on PubMed. Searches PubMed, the premier database in biomedicine and automatically limits retrieval to complementary therapies.
• Integrative Therapies Program for Children with Cancer This website from Columbia University provides evaluated information on CAM treatments for children with cancer. The section on herbs and supplements provides specific links for each therapy.
• Alternative Medicine Foundation Nonprofit organization aims to "provide evidence-based research resources for health care professionals and responsible and reliable information for patients and consumers." Site includes TibetMed™, an information resource for Tibetan Medicine, and Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine.
• Complementary and Alternative Medicine in Cancer Treatment From the National Cancer Institute. Includes "Q and A Factsheet" as well as links to information on specific topics and NCI sponsored research.
