Accessing Online Information with your Public Library Card

• A variety of full-text periodical, news and directory databases are made available to the residents of Massachusetts through the Massachusetts Library and Information Network(MLIN). MLIN purchases statewide licenses to the following databases:

• Seven InfoTrac^® Web Databases including the Health Reference Center database. Health Reference Center contains the full-text of many journal articles, health pamphlets, prescription drug information, and more. Other databases include popular magazines, scholarly journals, encyclopedias, newspapers, newswire services, business directories, and investment reports. Both in-library and home access is provided for registered public library users to all seven databases.

• Electric Library^® (funded by the six Massachusetts Regional Library Systems) In-library and home access is provided for registered public library users to full-text database of magazines, newspapers, newswires, TV and radio transcripts, photographs and maps.

• Card holders of Revere Public Library have access to EBSCOHost. Enter your library card number to access this resource.

• Boston, Charlestown, Revere, Everett and Chelsea Public Library card holders have access to Seven InfoTrac databases.Enter your library card number and select Health Reference Center to search for health information.

• If you hold a library card from elsewhere, check with your local public library about what databases are available in your area.
