Accessing
Online Information with your Public Library Card
A variety of full-text periodical, news and directory databases are made available to the residents of Massachusetts through the Massachusetts Library and Information Network(MLIN). MLIN purchases statewide licenses to the following databases:
Seven InfoTrac® Web Databases including the Health Reference Center database. Health Reference Center contains the full-text of many journal articles, health pamphlets, prescription drug information, and more. Other databases include popular magazines, scholarly journals, encyclopedias, newspapers, newswire services, business directories, and investment reports.
Both in-library and home access is provided for registered public library users to all seven databases.
Electric Library® (funded by the six Massachusetts Regional Library Systems)
In-library and home access is provided for registered public library users to full-text database of magazines, newspapers, newswires, TV and radio transcripts, photographs and maps.
Card
holders of Revere Public Library have access to EBSCOHost. Enter your library card number to access this resource.
Boston, Charlestown, Revere, Everett and Chelsea Public Library card holders have access to Seven InfoTrac databases.Enter your library card number and select Health Reference Center to search for health information.
If
you hold a library card from elsewhere, check with your local
public library about what databases are available in your area.
