PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's search service that provides access to over 11 million citations in MEDLINE, PreMEDLINE, and other related databases, with links to participating online journals.
It was developed by
the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI)
at the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in conjunction
with biomedical literature publishers as a tool for
accessing literature citations and also for linking to
full-text journals on-line at participating
publishers Web sites.
An excellent PubMed
tutorial has been created by Health Librarians at the
University of Florida.
We suggest choosing "Simple Search" to learn basic PubMed features. The tutorial will open in a new window. Then you may return to this page by, on a PC,
clicking on the appropriate icon at the bottom of the
screen, or on a Mac, alternating between windows at the top
of the screen.
