What is the MGH Leadership Competency Model?
The MGH has defined five pillars that form the framework of every manager’s job: People Management, Process Management, Financial Management, Communication Management and Leadership. Within those pillars, the MGH has identified 75 competencies that comprise the MGH Competency Model.

How was the competency model developed?
The Academy’s seven-member steering committee conducted a series of nine focus groups among managers at all levels of the organization to elicit their input on the skills and competencies vital to being a successful manager at the MGH. The steering committee synthesized this feedback into the MGH competency model.
