MGH Women’s Place
The Infectious Disease practice at MGH has instituted
a welcoming female focused practice that identifies
and addresses specific, culturally sensitive
and self-identified needs of HIV positive women. Our belief is by integrating comprehensive
health care services into a female focused practice
session, we will attract a greater number of
HIV positive women to our practice. Once identified,
they would have the opportunity to start HIV
treatment earlier, thus reversing the likelihood
of developing acute illness and AIDS.
