2011 Fellows
Bernice Raveche After completing her Matina S. Horner, Ph.D. fellowship at the Harris Center, Bernice Raveche sent us the following note:

Hello Everyone,

I want to thank you all for giving me the opportunity to be a part of the Harris Center as a Matina Horner Fellow this summer. It was such a wonderful experience and everyone was so warm and welcoming.

Thank you all for providing me with excellent advice, suggestions and guidance as I continue my doctoral dissertation research and my slowly progressing evaluation of Fat Talk Free Week.

I will most certainly stay in touch and provide updates with the Fat Talk Free Week project and the results from my preliminary analyses from the dissertation data sets (and maybe I will send a few wedding pictures J) .

Since I am local, I would love to stop in on a Tuesday morning research meeting later this year with hopefully some interesting data regarding weight based discrimination and eating disorders prevention!

Have a wonderful rest of the summer!

This is an exciting time for the Harris Center! Good luck with the start of the longitudinal follow back interviews.

Thank you again for this opportunity. I am honored to have been mentored and surrounded by such an intelligent and friendly group!

Best,

Bernice
