CFDA Launches Ambassador Program with Seminar for Models

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is a nonprofit organization consisting of over 350 of the nation’s leading fashion and accessory designers. In 2007, the CFDA created a Health Initiative to address concerns about eating disorders in the industry. For over a year the Harris Center and the CFDA Health Initiative have worked together to improve the well-being of models and to encourage healthy lifestyles for all women.

The CFDA Health Initiative has developed an Ambassador program whereby very well-known and respected top models are available to younger models for questions and concerns. On February 7, 2011, the CFDA launched its Ambassador program with a seminar for models at DNA Model Management LLC. At this event, renowned model Stella Tennant shared her insights and advice based on her personal experience. Alongside Stella and CFDA Executive Director Steven Kolb was Dr. David Herzog, who offered guidance and expertise.
