The Family Care
Program
at Massachusetts General Hospital ...
an outstanding history of service
since 1978.
The Family Care Program is a voluntary program for adults who cannot live alone yet would benefit from being in a home setting. With the supervision and assistance they receive in a family, our clients often become more independent, leading active and fulfilling lives.
Dedicated to providing a home setting for frail elders and adults with health needs, the Family Care Program promotes care of the highest quality for each of our clients.
Our clinicians, who are licensed social workers and registered nurses, closely monitor each client with attention to individual needs. Collaborating with the host families, we assure the well-being of our clients. Families know we stand behind them in every way. Through their generosity in opening their homes to those with medical needs, our care providers brighten lives, bring encouragement and create nurturing environments where they are the most needed.
The goal of our program is to foster independence for our clients, while providing them with the structure and support that they require.
With the Family Care Program, the lives of elders and people with special health needs are enriched in countless ways.
