2. "Meet and Greet" Networking Breakfast with Dr. Galit Alter on Feb 25-
     Faculty Development Seminar: Networking Series

Galit Alter, PhD, joined MGH in 2003 as a research fellow. In nine years she advanced to the faculty rank of Associate Professor of Medicine, and in 2013 she won a prestigious MGH Research Scholar award. This is an opportunity to hear from Dr. Alter about her career path and to gain some insights to help with your own career trajectory. You can also learn more about the Office for Women's Careers and spend some time with other women faculty colleagues.

2. Conflict Management at Work on Jan 16 -
    Presented by the Center for Faculty Development

Seminar for MGH faculty with HMS academic appointments.

This seminar will explore the benefits of understanding conflict and provide a pragmatic, situational approach to conflict resolution. Melissa Brodrick will demonstrate how and when to use the conflict-handling styles effectively and coach participants to initiate productive dialogue to deal with conflict situations.

Joint Committee on the Status of Women-

The Office for Women’s Careers would like to encourage faculty and fellows to consider joining the Joint Committee on the Status of Women (JCSW). The JCSW is a standing committee of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard Medical School. Its mission is to facilitate and enhance the contribution of women faculty and staff at HMS and HSDM by expanding and enhancing opportunities for leadership and advancement. Representation from the hospital affiliates is important for the success of the JCSW in reaching all of its constituents.
