Work & Life ResourcesPartners Employee Assistance ProgramThe Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a workplace-based consultation, short-term counseling, information and referral program for employees and their families. The EAP offers assistance with all types of personal, family or work-related concerns. The EAP provides consultation and training to the workplace regarding the impact and resolution of behavioral/mental health and productivity problems; and it provides consultation and crisis intervention to workgroups. The EAP provides free, confidential and voluntary assessments, short-term problem focused counseling and referrals for treatment or other assistance. The EAP is a liaison between the workplace and community resources that provide service. Harvard Medical Center Office of Work and Family (OWF)http://www.hms.harvard.edu/hr/owf.html The OWF provides information, resources, referrals, educational programs and support to those combining work lives with family concerns. The OWF serves the faculty, staff, post docs, and students of Harvard Medical and Dental Schools, Harvard School of Public Health and the participating affiliated institutions as an expression of the medical community's commitment to helping families balance their work lives with the important job of caring for their children, their aging parents and their own personal lives. MGH Children's Centerhttp://www.partners.org/childcare/MGH/Info.html The MGH Children's Center is located in the historic Charlestown Navy Yard and housed in the old Captain's Quarters, a beautifully renovated colonial style townhouse. This unique setting and home-like facility provide an ideal environment for young children. The Center is open Monday-Friday, 6:15 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., 52 weeks a year excluding holidays. The Center is open to children of all employees of Partners HealthCare System, Inc. Applications may be obtained on line or by contacting the Center. MGH Backup Child Care Centerhttp://www.partners.org/childcare/MGH_Backup/Info.html In recognition of the complex needs of families today, particularly working families and families experiencing a breakdown in childcare, the MGH Backup Childcare Center was established to provide emergency child care to MGH employees, patients and Partners employees. Its mission is to provide a safe, nurturing, enjoyable learning environment for the children in its care. Backup care is intended to supplement rather than replace regular childcare. Parents in a Pinchhttp://www.parentsinapinch.com/ Parents in a Pinch, Inc., a Boston-based childcare placement agency established in 1984, serves the short-term and on-going childcare needs of today's working families. Parents in a Pinch screens, trains, and refers wonderful and loving childcare providers to care for children in the child's own home.
