1. Call for Applications English as a Second Language for Researchers due Jan 8-
    Faculty Development Seminar: Communication Series

Applications are being accepted for the Spring 2014 semester of the English as a Second Language (ESL) 15-week course for MGH researchers. The semester runs February to May 2014 and is geared towards researchers to help with scientific communication as well as everyday English. Classes meet once a week from 5:30 to 8:45 pm in the Simches Research Building.

Before applying, please be certain you can devote the time necessary for weekly sessions for the duration of this course. Eligibility for future ESL classes depends on attendance from previous semesters.

    Mentees on Jan 23-

    Faculty Development Seminar: Responsible Conduct of Research Series

What should you look for in a good mentor? When do you stop needing mentors? How do you make the transition from mentee to mentor? In this interactive seminar, we will discuss the responsibilities of mentors and mentees, and the characteristics of good mentoring relationships. This seminar will help you get the most out of this critical aspect of your career development.
