Laughter Yoga for Researchers-

Laughter Yoga combines laughter exercises with relaxing yoga breathing techniques to relieve stress, enhance your mood, and improve your health.

Date: Friday, November 13, 2009

Location: Simches 3.120 Medium Conference Room, Simches Research Building, 3rd floor

Facilitator: Laura Malloy, Certified Laughter Yoga Teacher, MGH Benson Henry Mind Body Institute

Laughter Yoga decreases stress hormone levels, increases levels of anti-viral and anti-infection cells, and provides an excellent cardio and mid-body workout. No previous yoga experience is necessary.

On the Record - Maximizing Your Media Opportunities
This seminar will provide practical techniques to help professionals transform themselves into confident and compelling newsmakers. Using video and mock interviews, attendees will learn to build high-impact media messages and develop a polished and powerful delivery style.

Ellan is one of the nation's most sought-after media coaches. She shares practical tips that make every interviewee a better communicator. Her expertise offers the confidence, conviction and media control techniques that professionals need to deliver messages with the most impact.

Faculty Development Seminar: Negotiation Series-

Conflict Management at Work
This seminar will explore the benefits of understanding conflict and provide a pragmatic, situational approach to conflict resolution. Linda Wilcox will demonstrate how and when to use the conflict-handling styles effectively and coach participants to initiate productive dialogue to deal with conflict situations.

She assists Harvard faculty, staff, students, and appointees who are experiencing conflict to organize their ideas, acquire relevant information, and create options of conflict resolution.
