This umbrella organization addresses all aspects of faculty development, as well as, specializing on the clinical faculty through the Office for Clinical Careers (OCC), the research communities through the Office for Research Career Development (ORCD) and the women faculty through the Office for Women's Careers (OWC).

This interactive seminar will review the purpose and structure of the HMS CV narrative. Additionally, there will be a practicum on how to overcome your writer's block and craft a narrative that best describes your major contributions and achievements.

1. DEADLINE EXTENDED: 2014 Joseph B. Martin Dean’s Leadership Award for the
    Advancement of Women Faculty due on Feb 21-

The Dean’s Award for Leadership in the Advancement of Women Faculty was initiated in 1998 by Joseph B. Martin, M.D., Ph.D., former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, to recognize faculty members committed to the recruitment, retention and advancement of women at Harvard Medical School and Harvard School of Dental Medicine. In 2007, the Award was renamed the “Joseph B. Martin Dean's Leadership Award for the Advancement of Women” to honor Dr. Martin for his long-standing support of this effort.

2. CALL FOR ABSTRACTS: 2014 Research Fellows Poster Celebration due Mar 21-
    Presented by the Office for Research Career Development (ORCD) in collaboration with the Mass General
    Postdoc Association

Please encourage your research fellows to submit an abstract for the 2014 ORCD Research Fellows Poster Celebration on Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Participants will gain visibility for themselves and your laboratory, and will have the chance to compete for awards.

3. CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Minority Faculty Development Award Program (MFDAP) due Mar 21-
    Sponsored by the Multicultural Affairs Office

The purpose of the MFDAP is to increase opportunities for URM faculty to advance to senior positions in academic medicine and leadership at MGH. Each award provides $120,000 over four years and is designed for MGH-appointed faculty pursuing different career goals.

• The Physician-Scientist Development Award (PSDA)– for URM fellows or faculty pursuing a
  career as a physician-scientist. Click here for the 2014 PSDA Call for Applications.

• The Clinician-Teacher Development Award (CTDA)– for URM faculty pursuing a career as a
  clinician teacher, community leader or administrator. The CTDA eligibility requirements have
  been expanded this year to include mid-career faculty, as well. Click here for the 2014 CTDA
