The Program of Developmental Immunology, Department of Pediatrics at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking outstanding candidates for a junior faculty position to be appointed at the Assistant Professor level at Harvard Medical School. The Department of Pediatrics is committed to expanding its research program in innate immunity and wishes to recruit promising scientists to work in this area. The applicant’s laboratory will be located in Developmental Immunology, which currently comprises 6 independent investigators with a strong thematic interest in innate immunity, inflammation and the use of model organisms

A PhD in immunology, developmental biology, infectious disease or a related science area is preferred. Applicants should have a broad system-based knowledge of innate immunology, host-pathogen interaction and/or infectious disease and a strong publication record. Applicants must have the ability to establish an independent research program and demonstrate potential to procure extramural funding. In addition, the faculty member will be expected to work closely with existing investigators and complement current areas of work.
